About Scena: With more than 40 years in the industry, Scena Pro Ltd develops and builds sets for theatre, television, film, museums, conferences, exhibitions and live events worldwide. Based at our Croydon workshop, our teams bring ambitious creative concepts to life. No two weeks are the same, giving you varied, visual content that audiences will want to see.
The Role: As our Social Media Manager & Content Creator, you will plan, produce and publish engaging content across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook and other platforms. You will also help develop longer-form YouTube content as our project film library grows. This hands-on role involves filming and photography in our workshop and at installation sites across the UK and occasionally overseas.
- Filming and photographing projects in the workshop and on location
- Editing reels, time-lapses, process videos and project reveals
- Planning a content calendar around live production schedules
- Writing captions and project copy in Scena’s established voice
- Managing and publishing content across all social channels
- Monitoring engagement and responding to comments and messages
- Reporting monthly on content performance
- Producing project case studies and summaries
- Keeping the website, project pages and portfolio current
- Maintaining an organised media library
- Supplying content for award submissions, tenders and proposals
- Travelling to installations to capture projects first-hand
You will work closely with production and workshop teams, clients, marketing agencies and event organisers.
About You: Experience managing business social media accounts, confidence using a camera for photography and video, strong editing skills, particularly for short-form content, a sharp eye for composition and visual storytelling, strong written English and the ability to follow an established brand voice, experience managing an effective content calendar, the organisation to work around changing production schedules, confidence working independently on site and in a busy workshop, flexibility to travel and occasionally work evenings or weekends, and the ability to commute to our Croydon workshop. Experience in events, exhibitions, construction, design or theatre would be beneficial. Drone qualifications, After Effects, motion graphics, graphic design skills and a full UK driving licence would also be useful but are not essential.
What We Offer: Hourly pay of £16-£19+, depending on experience, five contracted days per month with flexible scheduling, additional days as projects require, varied and visually exciting creative work, potential international travel, a supportive and friendly working environment, and the opportunity to grow and make your mark in the industry.
