Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in schools or early years settings? We provide government funded online training to help you take your first steps toward a career as a SEN Teaching Assistant. You must be available to attend online training Monday to Friday, 11:00-12:30.
We are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in several welcoming & supportive primary schools, in the Stoke area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is confident supporting pupils at different stages of their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities- Support class teachers in delivering lessons across multiple year groups
- Assist with the planning and delivery of activities that align with the national curriculum
- Provide one-to-one and group support to ensure all pupils can access learning
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
- Help with classroom preparation, assessment, and pupil progress tracking
- A passion for helping children learn and grow in a supportive environment
- Strong communication skills and a flexible, team-oriented approach
- Experience supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 (desirable)
- A sound understanding of the national curriculum (desirable)
- L2 Certificate in Understanding Childrens and Young Peoples Mental Health
- L2 Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Disability
- You must be 19+
- Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
- Not currently in education
- Currently unemployed or in receipt of low wage (Under £25,750)
