The surveyor will manage surveyors or assistant surveyors; on larger projects, responsibility may cover defined sections under a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager. The work includes: forecasting cost and value reporting subcontract procurement cash-flow management Responsibilities extend to preparing procurement schedules, reviewing tender allowances and establishing the first profit and loss forecast. The surveyor will check subcontract scope, measure completed work, review account records and maintain subcontract liabilities and accruals. The posting also requires attention to contractual notices, payment collection and the recovery of recorded contra-charges. Applicants need adequate Senior Quantity Surveyor experience. The stated qualification routes include professionally accredited courses, relevant technical or numerical degrees and construction-related HND subjects.
