Secretariat is recruiting a Senior Associate for its Construction Delay team in London.
The posting describes work on delay analysis in large construction projects, and the duties fall into four groups: research and fact finding; reviewing technical and non-technical documents, which the employer lists as construction schedules, engineering drawings, reports, correspondence and weather data; interpreting large datasets to find trends, anomalies and the likely causes of cost and schedule overruns; and applying analytical methods to quantify delay.
The holder also assists with drafting expert reports for use in arbitration. The employer asks for a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related discipline and at least five years of post-graduate experience, and treats time in engineering and construction within professional services as an advantage.
Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are required, with experience of MS Project, Asta Powerproject or Primavera preferred. Excellent written English is required, and an understanding of the relevant industry protocols, fluency in another language and the ability to explain technical matters to a non-technical audience are each listed as preferred. Travel is generally under fifteen per cent of the time but may vary.
No salary figure and no closing date are published.
