John Sisk and Son is recruiting a Planner for its Life Science team in Macclesfield. The post is full time and sits under planning and project controls, supporting the projectβs lead senior planner on a framework of pharmaceutical works that ranges from minor upgrades to larger refurbishments and new builds.
The planner handles site planning and reporting, preparing internal and external progress reports and project dashboards backed by trade performance data, tender event schedules and design deliverable updates. The work includes baselining programmes, rescheduling progress and analysing the critical path and near-critical float paths under an NEC contract.
Programme updates must be NEC compliant so that the client accepts them, and the planner contributes to updating and impacting programmes for change and variations. The role also produces planned against actual S-curves, short-term look-ahead programmes and KPI tracking schedules, manages programme submissions from subcontractors, and raises risks with possible mitigation for the project team to agree.
It supports baseline programmes covering:
- design
- procurement
- construction
- handover
Applicants need construction planning experience on NEC or JCT projects, technical knowledge that includes MEP and commissioning, and working use of Primavera P6 and Asta Powerproject.
