Balfour Beatty is seeking a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor for the North Hykeham Relief Road project. The posting gives Lincoln as the location. The surveyor will control expenditure, prepare forecasts and negotiate subcontract packages. The role works with delivery colleagues to coordinate commercial activity with the programme, manages client relationships and assists the Commercial Manager or Managing Quantity Surveyor with project strategy.
The appointment also involves leading a small surveying team, reviewing performance and helping junior colleagues develop professionally. Candidates need a quantity-surveying degree or related commercial qualification and relevant experience on highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of NEC contracts, forecasting and account settlement is required.
Professional membership or active progress towards chartership is requested, alongside mentoring, negotiation and communication skills.
