Expanded Structures, part of Laing O'Rourke, is recruiting a permanent Commercial Manager for a bridge project in East Suffolk. The location field identifies Leiston. The division specialises in reinforced-concrete substructures and frames, and the appointment takes commercial responsibility for a defined project section.
The manager will oversee financial and contractual performance from the period before construction through completion.
Duties include:
- monthly expenditure reports
- contract reviews and business-planning information
- alongside subcontract procurement
- account administration
- claims
The role manages change and commercial risk, advises delivery colleagues and escalates issues that could affect project or business performance. It also supports the development of commercial staff and maintains contract compliance. Applicants need a degree or higher qualification in quantity surveying, civil engineering or commercial management.
The advert requires practical NEC knowledge, direct-delivery experience in infrastructure or civil engineering, and experience across the project lifecycle. Candidates must have managed subcontract packages, changes and commercial performance while working with clients and delivery teams. RICS membership is desirable.
