GRAHAM is recruiting a graduate Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a permanent appointment with its Interior Fit-Out team in London. The role supports fit-out and refurbishment projects, working with commercial and delivery colleagues from pre-construction through completion.
Responsibilities include:
- assisting with procurement
- cost management and project reporting
- attending site and client meetings
- maintaining project records
The graduate will develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers while learning about contracts and construction delivery. Structured training and mentoring accompany practical project responsibilities. The employer describes a two-year graduate programme with training directed towards a recognised professional qualification and chartership.
Applicants should have completed, or be expecting to complete, a degree covering quantity surveying, commercial management or another construction discipline. Numerical and analytical ability, communication skills and IT competence are required, together with UK work eligibility and a full UK driving licence. Previous construction experience, knowledge of fit-out work and awareness of health and safety are desirable rather than mandatory.
The advertised salary is GBP36,000. Benefits include a car allowance, subsidised medical cover, pension contributions and 35 days of leave including public holidays. An allowance for living away from home applies where appropriate.
