SCCS are Leica Geosystems main UK dealer and part of the Hexagon group. We are a progressive company supplying survey solutions to civil engineering, construction and land surveying industries. We specialise in bringing innovative technology to market including the most advanced GNSS, mobile mapping, 3D laser scanners, UAV’S and total station solutions available to geospatial professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for someone to come and join our team on a 12 months contract to cover Maternity Leave. To deliver efficient customer service to external and prospective clients regarding annual maintenance for customer kits, calibration, services, and repairs. This role will partner closely with all aspects of the SCCS and wider Hexagon Group businesses to provide the right level of practical support in order to meet the company’s sales objectives and growth targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Liaising with service technicians regarding instruments, repairs and services.
  2. First point of contact to all customers to arrange annual maintenance bookings.
  3. Liaise with service/warehouse to ensure timely dispatch of all orders.
  4. Contact external partners to coordinate repairs and services completed in a timely manner.
  5. Manage the process through to billing using the required system.
  6. Arranging & processing of repair collection and delivery paperwork, including sales orders.
  7. Arranging & processing dispatch paperwork for instruments needing external repair.
  8. Monthly preparation of repair and service work outstanding and completed, both customer and hire instruments.
  9. Create and supply customer estimates and notifications.
  10. Liaise with the hire desk on the availability of kit for service loans.

Secondary Functions

  1. General repair enquiries support.
  2. Customer repair aftercare where required.
  3. Chasing up aged repairs for approval.
  4. Daily physical check of repairs awaiting repair and dispatch.
  5. Assistance with telephone enquiries.
  6. Any other ad hoc duties or project reasonably required of the employee.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  2. Organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities at different parts of the process from enquiry, quotation, closure, order and delivery.
  3. Team oriented – ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  4. Good grades in GCSE English Language and Maths or equivalent.
  5. English (fluent written and verbal) is a pre-requisite.
