Role Summary
The Recruitment Manager at SCCD Training will lead our recruitment team to attract, engage, and enroll talented individuals into our teacher training programs. This role is pivotal in driving growth through effective candidate sourcing strategies, maintaining high conversion rates, and ensuring an outstanding experience for prospective trainees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber trainees
- Lead, motivate, and manage the recruitment team to achieve individual and collective targets
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, and enrollment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, local authorities, and partner organizations to understand workforce needs
- Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management
- Continuously improve recruitment processes to ensure efficiency and quality
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including safeguarding and data protection
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) in recruitment management, ideally within education or teacher training sectors
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop staff
- Knowledge of the UK education system and teacher training routes is highly desirable
- Proven experience managing the full 360 recruitment lifecycle, including market mapping, headhunting, candidate screening, interviewing, placement, and post-placement support
- Ability to build, nurture, and maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality candidates to meet both internal needs and the demands of external partners
- Expert knowledge of advanced sourcing techniques (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking, and referrals) to attract top-tier talent
- A strong track record of securing new business-to-business (B2B) accounts, managing client relationships, and expanding SCCD's commercial footprint
- Ability to identify, pitch, and secure long-term strategic partnerships with employers, corporate clients, and educational institutions
- Experience acting as a trusted advisor to B2B clients, understanding their workforce or training needs, and aligning SCCD's solutions to drive mutual growth
- Capability to work alongside leadership (serving as an extension of management) to implement recruitment strategies that align with the company’s financial and operational projections
- Proven ability to hit and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking metrics such as placement volume, time-to-hire, and B2B revenue generation
