Role: Software Sales Support
Location: National, based at any of our SCC offices – Bracknell, London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: Competitive base salary plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role purpose:
To support the Solution Specialists team to help win business, obtain pricing and technical information. Ensure that paperwork and customer accounts are correct to process orders correctly. Produce lower value quotations & contracts without supervision.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively hunt for new business across Microsoft CSP, EA & hyperscalers marketplace.
- Work with and engage sales account managers to respond to sales requests against a certain vendor, solution tower use case, or value of deal. Additionally, build sales opportunities and up/cross-sell across the Software portfolio, and ensure all contracts and sales documentation are in place to enable seamless transactions.
- Develop creative pitches and propositions for specific industry sectors or SCC customers.
- Follow up on leads and opportunities generated and manage the database accurately for targeted marketing.
- Negotiate commercial terms within set guidelines and attend weekly sales team meetings.
- Liaise with all departments to ensure customer requirements are met and support the Software Business unit to win business.
- Communicate with clients, respond to enquiries, and liaise with suppliers on pricing and technical information.
- Issue account application forms for new customers, monitor credit limits, and produce product quotations.
- Update D365 and sales support tools with correct pricing and product descriptions and check new orders for documentation.
- Regularly communicate with Account Managers and Solution Specialists, and check service resources for forecasted business.
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in initiating and conducting inbound and outbound calls to qualify opportunities around Software solutions, including Microsoft CSP or Enterprise Agreements.
- Demonstrated ability in identifying and crafting sales opportunities, producing leads, and closing sales for CSP.
- Experience hunting for new CSP customers.
- Relevant work experience in a similar inside sales or account manager role.
- Good communication and negotiation skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage a database with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and determined to achieve targets.
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
- A professional but friendly approach to work, with a positive attitude and work ethic.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 (training can be provided).
- Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
