We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to provide onsite support for our network infrastructure across multiple locations. This role focuses on physical network installations, wireless services, network security, and operational support, including incident resolution, technology refreshes, and project delivery. Regular travel to supported sites will be required.
Your responsibilities as a Network Engineer:
- Perform physical network activities including racking, cabling, patching, cabinet upgrades, and patch panel management.
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, switching, routing, and network troubleshooting.
- Conduct wireless surveys and wireless leakage surveys using Ekahau tools.
- Install and support network hardware, including switches, firewalls, and associated infrastructure.
- Administer and maintain Cisco ACI environments, including physical switch installations, battery/PSU replacements, SFP replacements, and fibre testing.
- Manage firewall platforms including Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, and Meraki, including VPN configuration and access control.
- Support F5 load balancing services within the Aqua network environment.
- Support Cisco SDA, Cisco ISE, Cisco Wi-Fi, and Meraki Wi-Fi solutions.
- Administer and maintain Avaya telephony infrastructure, gateways, and frame room environments.
- Manage Catapan encryptors, including configuration, maintenance, and key management processes.
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and assist with incident, change, project, and technology refresh activities.
- Travel to supported sites to diagnose and resolve network issues affecting routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and encryption devices.
As a suitable Network Engineer, you will have:
- Experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN networks, routing, switching, and network patching.
- Hands-on experience with physical racking, cabling, patching, cabinet upgrades, and patch panel management.
- Experience conducting wireless surveys using Ekahau survey tools.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies including Cisco SDA, Cisco ISE, and Catalyst Center.
- Experience with Cisco and Meraki wireless solutions.
- Experience administering Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, and Meraki firewalls.
- Experience supporting Cisco ACI environments and network hardware installations.
- Familiarity with F5 load balancing technologies.
- Experience supporting Avaya telephony systems and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of network encryption devices and key management processes.
- Experience using SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tools.
- Understanding of Cisco Smart Licensing.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to supported sites.
- Active SC Clearance.
