We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Management Administrator to join a leading organisation on an initial 3‑month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Software Asset Management Administrator to act as the lead SAM Subject Matter Expert, delivering both strategic and operational value within a complex enterprise environment.
As a Software Asset Management Administrator, you will play a critical role in driving governance, compliance, optimisation and lifecycle management across the organisation’s technology estate.
Your responsibilities as the Software Asset Management Administrator
- Lead SAM strategy, governance and lifecycle management
- Act as the Software Asset Management Administrator SME for licensing and compliance
- Manage vendor audits, ELPs, true‑ups and remediation
- Embed controls across procurement, finance and IT functions
- Drive licence optimisation, cost savings and cloud efficiency
- Maintain accurate asset data, CMDB alignment and reporting
- Support vendor negotiations and contract renewals
As a successful Software Asset Management Administrator, you will have
- Proven experience as a Software Asset Management Administrator in enterprise environments
- ITIL v4 and SAM certification (IAITAM, CSAM, BCS or equivalent)
- Strong licensing knowledge (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMware, Adobe, ServiceNow)
- Experience with audits, compliance, ELPs and optimisation initiatives
- Hands‑on with SAM tools (ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, SNOW)
- Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness
