Salary Package: £60,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role purpose: The Vendor Manager at SCC is responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with key software vendors. This role involves building key stakeholder relationships, driving growth, maximizing value, and ensuring alignment with SCC's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Manage relationships with different vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues and opportunities.
  • Go to Market & Revenue Generating Activities: Collaborate on growth plans with vendors and identify and nurture opportunities for Incubate vendors.
  • Certification and Compliance: Ensure the highest level of certifications and specializations for vendors.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Drive and support marketplace partnerships and own the services partners ecosystem.
  • Financial Management: Secure development funds and resources (GP).
  • Proactive Engagement: Engage with vendor partners to develop their business with SCC.
  • Distribution Relationship Management: Manage relationships with aligned distribution partners to maximise incentives, manage cost optimisation and drive value across the distributors resources, market intelligence and data.

Skills and experience:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in contract negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and vendor performance to optimize strategies.
  • Project Management: Skilled in planning and execution, with the ability to oversee projects from inception to completion.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the software and technology landscape.
  • Strategic Thinking: Business acumen and the ability to align vendor strategies with organizational goals.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Experience in cross-functional collaboration and mentorship.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in vendor management within the technology sector.

Experience in: data protection, cyber-resilience, backup, recovery, enterprise virtualization and cloud infrastructure software vendors relevant to the vendors managed.
