We are recruiting an experienced AI/LLM Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale generative AI solutions. This is a high-impact contract for an AI/LLM Architect with deep expertise in AWS Bedrock, multi-model orchestration, and AI governance, working fully remotely on a strategic AI programme.
Your responsibilities as the AI/LLM Architect:
- Design and own end-to-end AI and LLM architectures using AWS Bedrock with multi-model orchestration.
- Implement and optimise multi-LLM routing strategies, selecting between Claude, OpenAI, and open-source LLMs based on cost, latency, and use case.
- Architect and deliver RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions using vector databases.
- Define and enforce AI governance frameworks, including model risk management, security, and compliance.
- Lead model lifecycle management, including experimentation, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
- Establish and mature LLMOps/MLOps practices for scalable, production-grade AI systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, data, and product teams to embed AI solutions into existing platforms.
- Provide architectural leadership, documentation, and technical guidance across AI initiatives.
As a successful AI/LLM Architect, you will have:
- Proven experience operating as an AI/LLM Architect in complex, enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS Bedrock and multi-model AI architectures.
- Practical experience working with Claude, OpenAI APIs, and open-source LLMs.
- Deep understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases (eg Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch, FAISS).
- Demonstrable experience defining and applying AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of LLMOps, CI/CD for models, monitoring, observability, and cost optimisation.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction at senior level.
