Our client, a prestigious catering company near Woking, Surrey is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join their exceptional catering team on a permanent term time contract. As the Kitchen Assistant you will be working Monday to Friday 11am-3pm, so it offers a great work life balance. Job role:
As the Kitchen Assistant you will assist in the smooth and efficient running of this busy kitchen. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, plating dishes)
- Keeping all kitchen areas clean, hygienic, and organised at all times
- Washing up including using a dishwasher
- Putting away deliveries and rotating stock
- Emptying bins, cleaning floors, and keeping area clean and hygienic
- Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
