An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled butcher to join a well-established, food retail destination. The role offers a friendly and supportive working environment, regular daytime hours, and the chance to work with high-quality, responsibly sourced meat.

Working Hours:

  • 5 out of 7 days per week
  • 1 weekend day per week with flexibility
  • 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Closed on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, December 27th, and New Year's Day

Main Responsibilities:

  • Skilled butchery including carcass breakdown of beef, pork, and lamb
  • Handmade sausage production
  • Serving and advising customers at the counter
  • Providing product knowledge and recipe suggestions
  • Adhering to food safety guidelines, temperature checking and assisting in stock takes.

The ideal Butcher will have/be:

  • Proven butchery experience, including whole carcass work
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices
  • Confidence in a customer-facing environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and cleanly in a busy team setting
  • Experience with butchery equipment and a willingness to embrace new methods
