We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Scarsdale Vets, Park Farm, on a permanent part time basis. Our practice is supported by our Tier 3 accredited hospital and eight sister practice sites, we take pride in maintaining RCVS accreditation under the Practice Standards Scheme. Embracing a fear‑free approach across all sites, we also run a popular cat‑only clinic and behaviour appointments, further demonstrating our commitment to comprehensive care.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. On Mondays, you will deliver nurse‑led consultations, building strong and lasting relationships with clients. Clinics include wellness and preventative healthcare, chronic illness management, weight management, senior pet clinics, dental health and post‑operative care. This element of the role allows you to take real ownership of patient and client care while developing confidence in independent consulting. We support certificate development also. On Fridays, you will admit patients for their routine procedures alongside the Vet and our veterinary care assistant. You will support in theatre prep, pre‑medication, monitoring anaesthetics, recovery and discharge. Following on with post‑operative care.
Working Pattern: 27.5 hours per week over 3 days between the hours of 08:30-19:00 Mon & Friday at Park Farm Allestree branch, 3rd day variable and will involve branch cover at other Scarsdale sites, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 08:30-13:00.
