We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Scarsdale Vets, Stapenhill on a full‑time basis. Part‑time hours will also be considered. Scarsdale Vets is proud to provide outstanding care to pets and their owners across Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. Alongside our central hospital and referral centre, our community practices, including Stapenhill, Hilton, and Mickleover, deliver high‑quality, first opinion care in convenient local settings.
The Stapenhill practice is well‑equipped with digital x‑ray, ultrasound, dental x‑ray, two operating theatres, and dedicated consulting spaces, including a nurse consult room. As a well‑established and RCVS‑accredited small animal practice, we are passionate about delivering exceptional care and building strong relationships within our local community. Our team includes experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, and Client Care Advisors, all working collaboratively to provide a supportive and welcoming environment. We are also proud to run a wide range of nurse‑led clinics, contributing to preventative healthcare and ongoing patient wellbeing.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a varied role across our Stapenhill, Hilton, and Mickleover sites, with occasional cover at other Scarsdale locations if required. You’ll be involved in all aspects of first opinion nursing, including anaesthesia monitoring, diagnostic imaging, laboratory work, inpatient care, and nurse‑led clinics. This is a full‑time role working 38 hours over 4 days per week, including a share of evening and weekend shifts with a pro rota Saturday. Alternative working patterns may be considered, but will include some evening and weekend commitments.
General responsibilities include:
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
- Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
- Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiography and ultrasound
- Run and support nurse clinics, promoting preventative healthcare
