Role Overview

Scarsdale Vets, part of the inspiring vet care network, is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our team on a permanent basis. The role offers a mix of routine and emergency medical/surgical cases. You can specialise with support for certificate study or offering specialist services.

Rota patterns that work for you

Flexible working patterns adapted to your lifestyle. Typical full‑time role: 38 hours per week across a 4‑day week, plus shared weekend rota with time back in lieu. Flexibility also considers home/work balance and school timetable.

About the Practice

Multi‑site practice in the Midlands. Main RCVS Tier 3 accredited hospital plus 8 additional sites under RCVS Practice Standards Scheme. Skilled team of veterinary surgeons and supportive staff. Main hospital at Derby equipped with CT, MRI, advanced ultrasound, endoscopy, digital X‑ray, dental radiography, surgical suites, hydrotherapy & rehabilitation centre, and multidisciplinary referral service.

Location

Central location with excellent transport links. Near Burton on Trent, A6 and M1, East Midlands Airport (30 min). Close to Peak District National Park for outdoor activities and Derby Theatre for culture.
