Geography Lecturer (Fixed term until end of June 2026)

Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Furness College is a vibrant, innovative and fast-paced FE College, benefiting from strong partnerships with local employers and universities. We offer an extensive range of courses with a particular emphasis on technical learning, apprenticeships and Higher Education, in addition to the broadest A level offer in Cumbria.

Geography Lecturer

We are seeking a part-time Lecturer of A level Geography. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience to teach the OCR specification, but we are equally keen to hear from candidates who would welcome the opportunity to develop their teaching of A Level Geography. The role will be predominantly based at our Sixth Form site, delivering to year 2 students, taught on a Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning (can potentially be changed based on availability, however still likely to be over two days).

Salary: £5,333 - £8,109 per annum

Hours: 12.75 hours per week

Tenure: Fixed Term until end of June 2026

Annual Leave: 42 days, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure (pro-rata for part-time)

Closing Date: Sunday the 28th of September

Interview Date: TBC
