*The Scarlett Pub Company is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who is looking for their first Sous Chef position or a Current Sous Chef looking for a new Challenge to join a small hotel and bar in the centre of Wells.*
For the past nine years, The Scarlett Pub Company is a family run business that has focused on craft beer, local ales & ciders, and this is an opportunity to join our fifth venue. We are proud to support UK independent breweries, and locally sourced produce. The role is working in a fast-paced fresh food kitchen producing everything from breakfast to classic British Pub food to a high standard.
As the Sous Chef you will, along with the Head Chef and General Manager, be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Kitchen, maintaining high and consistent standards and up to date due diligence, managing the stock levels, have a good understanding of GPs, and supporting team development and driving growth of the business and working to targets set by the finance team.
*What are we looking for?*
- A great knowledge and understanding of the running of a high volume kitchen and the production of high quality homemade fresh food.
- Experience of dealing with and complying with all aspects of Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations in the Kitchen and maintaining written records.
- A genuine passion for providing customers with an excellent experience.
- Knowledge of and understanding of keeping to and exceeding the monthly budgets and targets
- Responsible for aiding the Head Chef and General Manager in maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- An excellent team player with exceptional communication skills.
- A willingness to gain and develop new skills whilst aiding the improvement of others.
