As Business Development Executive you will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new commercial partnerships across Scarlets Rugby’s full portfolio of sponsorship, advertising, hospitality, digital and community assets.
You will proactively generate new business opportunities, develop innovative partnership solutions and contribute towards the continued commercial growth of the club.
- PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify, research and secure new commercial partnership opportunities across all sectors.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals and business development activity
- Prepare and present high-quality commercial proposals tailored to prospective partners’ objectives.
- Negotiate commercial agreements through to successful completion
- Develop innovative sponsorship opportunities and commercial assets that enhance the club’s offering
- Work closely with the Marketing and Community teams to maximise the value of commercial partnerships
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM system and accurately manage all sales activity and forecasting
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new commercial opportunities
- Represent Scarlets Rugby professionally at business events, networking functions, hospitality occasions and matchdays
- Support the successful activation and ongoing development of new commercial partnerships.
- Achieve agreed revenue, activity and pipeline targets
- Contribute ideas that support the continuous development of the club’s commercial strategy

Essential
- Proven experience in a business development or B2B sales role with a track record of generating new business
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven and highly organised
- Confident networking with senior decision-makers
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Google and CRM systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience within sponsorship, sport, hospitality, media or events
- Knowledge of partnership marketing and commercial rights
- Existing business network across South or West Wales
- Ability to speak Welsh
