We are looking for a professional and personable Food & Beverage Host to join the team at the Scarlet Hotel. As the first point of contact for our restaurant and bar guests, you will set the tone for a relaxed yet luxurious dining experience. This role requires someone who is warm, attentive and highly organised, able to manage reservations, greet guests with confidence and ensure service runs smoothly. You will work closely with the restaurant team to deliver the high standards of hospitality our guests expect from the Scarlet.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests arriving for dining or drinks
- Manage reservations and coordinate guest seating efficiently
- Maintain clear communication with the restaurant and kitchen teams during service
- Ensure the restaurant entrance and host area are always clean, organised and inviting
- Assist the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth and attentive service
- Develop a good understanding of menus, daily specials and dietary requirements
- Respond to guest queries and requests with professionalism and care
- Uphold the Scarlet’s high standards of service, presentation and guest experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hospitality, restaurant or guest service role preferred
- Experience in a host, reception or front-of-house position desirable
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
