We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Staff Accommodation Cleaning Operative to help maintain our team accommodation to a consistently high standard. This role is about more than cleaning — it’s about creating a comfortable, welcoming environment where our team can relax and feel at home. You will care for bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and shared living spaces, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and well-presented. We are looking for someone who can work independently, manage their daily tasks confidently, and take genuine pride in the spaces they look after. This is a permanent, part time (8 hour) contract, working two days per week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Clean and maintain shared kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, and shower facilities
- Keep corridors, stairways, and communal areas clean and presentable
- Support with bedroom changeover cleaning when required
- Empty bins and manage waste and recycling appropriately
- Monitor cleaning stock levels and report when supplies need replenishing
- Identify and report maintenance issues promptly
- Follow cleaning schedules to maintain excellent accommodation standards
- Ensure all accommodation areas remain safe, hygienic, and welcoming for staff
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential
- Full training will be provided for the right candidate
- A positive attitude and willingness to take a hands‑on approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
