We believe hospitality should feel restorative, thoughtful, and deeply human. We are looking for an experienced and intuitive Senior Spa Host to help bring this philosophy to life across the spas at Scarlet Hotel and Bedruthan Hotel and Spa. This is a role for someone who leads with warmth and presence — someone who understands that luxury is found in the smallest details, in authentic connection, and in creating spaces where guests feel instantly at ease.

As Senior Spa Host, you’ll be a guiding presence throughout the guest journey, helping shape an atmosphere that feels calm, welcoming, and beautifully cared for. You’ll support the day-to-day rhythm of the spa, mentor and encourage fellow hosts, and ensure every touchpoint reflects the relaxed, holistic ethos of RED Hotels. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, brings emotional intelligence and attention to detail in equal measure, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create a warm, relaxed, and memorable welcome for every guest entering the spa
  • Lead by example in delivering intuitive, thoughtful, and personalised guest experiences
  • Support the smooth daily flow of the spa, responding calmly and confidently to operational needs
  • Help maintain a peaceful, beautifully presented environment throughout all guest areas
  • Mentor and support Spa Hosts, encouraging confidence, consistency, and personal growth
  • Work closely with the Spa Day Lead to coordinate the guest experience during busy periods
  • Monitor presentation standards, laundry, stock levels, and equipment care with attention to detail
  • Ensure treatment spaces, bathing areas, and relaxation zones remain tranquil and impeccably maintained
  • Communicate clearly and collaboratively with the wider spa team using internal systems such as Slack
  • Work flexibly across weekdays, weekends, opening and closing shifts, and peak service periods

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within luxury hospitality, wellness, or spa environments is essential
  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or guiding a team is desirable
  • A genuine passion for wellbeing, guest care, and creating exceptional experiences
  • Confidence using digital communication tools and systems

Key Skills:

  • A naturally warm, calm, and engaging approach to guest service
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident leadership style with a supportive and encouraging mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and presentation
  • A positive, flexible, and collaborative approach to teamwork

As a family-owned, independent Cornish business, we value every member of our talented team. We offer a range of benefits and perks to reflect our commitment to making our hotels such a desirable place to work. These include:

  • £13.10 per hour plus a share of hotel tips
  • A people-centric working environment
  • Learning and internal career progression opportunities
  • A permanent contract with 28 days holiday per year (29 after 1 year)
  • Long service scheme — enjoy a complimentary stay at Bedruthan after your first year
  • Enjoy 40% off food and drinks, along with a range of other services throughout the hotel with our own discount scheme
  • Local partnership discounts
  • Health Shield Healthcare Plan
  • Temporary on-site team accommodation is available

Perched on the rugged clifftops of North Cornwall, RED Hotels has long redefined hospitality through wellbeing, connection, and distinctive guest experiences.
