About the Role
Due to the current member of staff going on maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, passionate and suitably qualified Dance teacher to join our School from November 2026. This is an exciting moment to join a successful and forward‑thinking team who have recently moved into a new £4 million Performing Arts Centre. Dance is taught throughout the school from Pre‑School through to Sixth Form and has seen rapid growth in the numbers of students taking part in dance activities. As well as timetabled sessions, students can also opt to have additional sessions in Ballet and Dance Skills.
The successful applicant will possess the necessary skills to deliver the highest quality Dance teaching at Scarisbrick Hall School and should have a degree in a relevant discipline and ideally ISTD, IDTA or RAD accreditation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A passion and creative flair for teaching and learning
- A proven track record of teaching Dance from beginners to advanced students

- An understanding of the unique nature of independent schools
- The ability to work as a member of a team
- Be willing to deliver extra‑curricular activities
- The ability to deliver a wide range of Dance styles including Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre & Ballet
- The ability to choreograph for shows
Desirable Qualities
- An ability to teach UAL Performance and Production Arts
- Experience of teaching AQA GCSE Dance
- The ability to choreograph routines for National Competitions
