Join Scarf as a Community Partnership Officer for Home Energy Scotland. Scarf is hiring a Community Partnership Officer to support the Home Energy Scotland service across the North-East of Scotland, covering Moray, Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City, Angus, Dundee City, and Perth and Kinross. Are you passionate about sustainability, energy efficiency, fuel poverty and can form great connections with potential and existing partners? At Home Energy Scotland in the North-East, we’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team.

You’ll be joining the partnership team who work with organisations to provide them training and facilitate referrals through a digital referral tool. You’ll be confident explaining our services to partners and creating a positive working relationship with different people. But don’t worry we will give you full training on our service including City & Guilds & a dedicated SQA. We’re always on the lookout for new partnerships – your sharp eye of opportunity will be key to building new partnerships and creating successful projects. You might not understand fuel poverty and its causes, but that is ok (great bonus if you do) but having great communication skills and a willingness to learn will help build this knowledge.

This hybrid position allows for flexible working from home or from our offices in Dundee or Aberdeen, with occasional office attendance. Applicants must reside in, or very near to, one of the six service areas. As you could be travelling to meet organisations and delivering training, you need to hold a driver’s licence.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Create and maintain relationships with groups / community groups/ partner organisations and key strategic organisations.
  • Promote National Fuel Poverty programmes to public bodies, voluntary organisations, and community groups.
  • Deliver training and events, online and face to face.
  • Attend meetings with partners, stakeholders, and groups to promote Home Energy Scotland.

Skills and qualifications

  • A background in customer service with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Confidence in using digital tools and working independently in a remote setting.
  • A full UK driving licence, due to travel requirements for attending events.

This is a full-time position at 35 hours per week, spanning 5 days out of 7. Initial onboarding lasts 6–9 weeks, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Training will be a mix between in-person and hybrid.

Salary and benefits

The salary for this role is £26,260 per annum, based on a 35-hour working week.
