Scarborough Sixth Form College is seeking a committed, enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team of Sports Academy Coaches from September 2026. The College prides itself on offering students the opportunity to follow one of the sports academy pathways alongside their academic programme.

We are looking for a coach who can plan and deliver training sessions for the girls' football programme, as well as managing the teams on match days. Players receive weekly training on Tuesday mornings, playing in the AoC Yorkshire & Humberside leagues and North Yorkshire School’s competitions on Wednesday afternoons.

You will be expected to work such hours as may be needed to discharge the duties effectively, which includes attendance during term-time for:

  • Fixtures or training sessions on a Wednesday afternoon.
  • An additional coaching session on Tuesday morning 11.30-1pm approx.
  • Carrying out preparation, administration & meeting with the Sports Coordinator where necessary.

This contract will be on a permanent basis for an average of 5 hours per week, starting September 2025, following safeguarding and recruitment checks. The successful candidates will be appointed to scale point 10 of the College’s Support Staff pay spine, currently paid at £27,733 p.a full time. Actual salary will be pro-rata to the hours and weeks worked and includes a pro-rata payment for holidays (e.g., £2,051 pa based on 5 hours per week).
