We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team of Sports Academy Coaches. The College prides itself in offering students the opportunity to follow one of the sports academy pathways alongside their academic Programme.

We are looking for a coach who can plan and deliver training sessions for the girl’s football team, as well as managing the teams on match days. Players receive weekly training on Tuesday mornings, playing in the AoC Yorkshire & Humberside leagues and North Yorkshire School’s competitions on Wednesday afternoons.

You will be expected to work such hours as may be needed to discharge the duties effectively, which includes attendance during term-time for:

  • Fixtures or training sessions on a Wednesday afternoon.
  • An additional one and a half hour practice session on Tuesday morning 11.30am – 1pm.
  • Carrying out preparation, administration and meeting with the Sports Coordinator where necessary.

Please note that some weeks will require a longer time commitment (e.g., for away fixtures) and other weeks much shorter (e.g., cancelled fixtures or examination study periods).

Grade & Salary Range

The successful candidates will be appointed to scale point 10 of the College’s Support Staff pay spine, currently paid at £27,733 p.a. for full time. Actual salary will be pro-rata to the hours and weeks worked and includes a pro-rata payment for holidays (e.g., approx. £2,051 for 5 hours per week).

Main Terms & Conditions

This contract will be on a permanent basis for an average of 5 hours per week, starting as soon as the successful candidates are available following recruitment and safeguarding checks. You will be expected to work such hours as may be needed to discharge the duties effectively, which includes attendance during term-time.
