We provide lifecycle property services, including the delivery of a high volume of multi-disciplinary projects in refurbishment and live sites. Our team manages a significant pipeline of work, with an emphasis on education and development projects for Nottinghamshire County Council.

We are looking for an experienced Asbestos Assessor to join our established Compliance team. You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of asbestos management services across a diverse property portfolio, undertaking surveys, providing technical advice, and supporting compliance with statutory requirements. Working closely with colleagues across Arc Partnership, including project managers and multi-disciplinary teams, you will help ensure asbestos risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed across a range of public sector buildings.

The Asbestos Assessor role is client facing, supporting the delivery of asbestos management and assessment services on behalf of Arc Partnership, producing clear and accurate survey reports in line with current legislation and guidance. You will work closely with the Compliance Manager (Asbestos) as part of an existing team to support the effective management of asbestos, implementation of asbestos management plans, and providing advice and guidance to internal teams, contractors, and clients.

The role will involve regular site visits across Nottinghamshire and the wider area, carrying out surveys in a variety of building types including schools, offices, and operational sites. You will also support the review of asbestos registers and contribute to maintaining accurate records to support compliance with statutory duties. You will be expected to maintain a strong understanding of current legislation, guidance, and industry best practice relating to asbestos management.

As our Asbestos Assessor, we are looking for someone who wants to make a difference, with experience of undertaking asbestos surveys or other asbestos-related roles and supporting clients and stakeholders in managing asbestos safely and effectively. A basic understanding of wider construction risk areas such as fire and legionella would be beneficial but is not essential.

  • Hold BOHS P402 Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos.
  • Experience undertaking asbestos management and refurbishment/demolition surveys.
  • Knowledge of the use of asbestos in construction and its typical locations, including system buildings.
  • Knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements relating to the management of asbestos in buildings.
  • Experience producing clear, accurate asbestos survey reports and maintaining asbestos registers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle for business use, and willingness to travel to sites across Nottinghamshire.
  • BOHS P405 qualification or additional asbestos-related competencies.
  • Experience working within Local Government or the wider Public Sector.

Benefits include travel expenses to and from site, Local Government Pension Scheme including generous employer contributions of 19.6% and life assurance of 3x salary, BUPA Private Medical Insurance, and 25 days annual leave.
