Your new role: Join us as a Building Surveyor and play a key role in shaping and maintaining a diverse property portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team where your expertise will directly influence the quality, safety and sustainability of buildings and projects. In this varied and hands-on role, you'll deliver a full range of building surveying and project management services from early feasibility through to completion. Whether you're diagnosing complex building issues, advising clients on best practice, or managing projects on site, your work will have real impact. You'll be trusted to manage your own workload, build strong relationships, and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to every project all while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellent service delivery.
What you'll do:
- Deliver a full range of building surveying services, including project monitoring and project management across planned maintenance, minor works and capital projects.
- Prepare designs, specifications and contract documentation, supporting procurement and tender processes.
- Take responsibility for contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
- Conduct building inspections, defect diagnosis and pathology investigations, providing clear, practical recommendations.
- Produce feasibility studies and professional reports to support informed decision-making.
- Carry out commercial building surveys and provide technical advice on a wide range of property matters.
- Advise clients on technical, legal, environmental and regulatory issues, including sustainability considerations and compliance requirements.
- Secure statutory approvals such as planning permission, listed building consent and building regulations approvals.
- Undertake site visits and attend client meetings, building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a joined-up, high-quality service across all projects.

What you'll bring:
- Essential MRICS accreditation.
- Proven experience of NEC3 project management and successful coordination of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proven experience of acting as a Principal Designer and working knowledge of CDM regulations 2015.
- Experience of public-sector construction projects and new build and refurbishment projects.
- Client facing experience.
- Experience of Revit is an advantage.
Desirable Chartered Surveyor status.
