Your new role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be focused on identifying new opportunities across the construction sector (commercial, industrial, infrastructure, residential) and building new client and partner relationships, ensuring they are established, developed and maintained to enhance our reputation and maximise growth. You’ll be focused on identifying and building new client and partner relationships, ensuring they drive the continued growth and success of the SCAPE Group. The role covers the East of England and is predominantly a field-based role, so you need to be comfortable working independently and on the move. You’ll also need to build collaborative relationships with existing teams across the Group (Design, Preconstruction / Project Management) to ensure the quality of your business development activity is consistent and the client service experience is exemplary.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven track record of developing and delivering strategic business growth and improvement plans as a field based Business Development Manager.
  • You’ll have experience in the construction / built environment sector, including procurement, design, costs, and the construction process including the use of frameworks and Modern Methods of Construction. Public Sector experience is a real advantage.
  • Experience of using information management tools in relation to business development including CRM and PowerBI.
  • Be able to evidence gathering research and market intelligence, to inform decisions and drive performance improvement.
  • Degree level qualification in construction, property, business management or significant experience in this field.

  • Attractive salary of between £50,000 to £60,000 dependant on experience.
