As Technical Manager, you’ll have the Quality Manager and a small QA team under your leadership. Your role is to ensure the technical integrity of the business, providing governance and leadership so that technical standards are met. The role will be accountable for food safety legality and quality and be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the technical department., Manage customer and third-party audits to achieve and maintain accreditation standards, BRC A grade

Act as key contact with customers and potential customers in all technical issues including driving improvement plans, implementing outputs from risk assessments and retailer codes of practice

Lead by example in encouraging appropriate behavioural standards in support of the company’s values and culture

Coaching employees in the implementation and training of technical standards, systems, and procedures.

Utilise best practice from around the business and outside bodies to influence and implement within the site for continuous improvement purposes.
Ideally you’ll be educated to Degree or HND level in food science or science/technology related discipline or Technical Management / Quality Management / leadership experience gained from the food industry. You’ll be building relationships with key retailers such as M&S, Tesco, Waitrose & Sainsbury’s. Ideally you will have Level 3 Food Safety & Level 3 HACCP.
