Senior Technical Assessor Up to £36,000 Mon–Fri | Office-based Liverpool Are you an experienced waste professional with a strong understanding of compliance and waste classification? Ready to take the next step in your technical career while mentoring others and supporting leadership? A leading environmental and waste management company is looking for a Senior Technical Assessor to strengthen its Compliance Team. You\’ll play a key role in guiding junior assessors, and maintaining high technical standards—ensuring safety, legal compliance, and smooth operations. What you’ll be doing: • Carry out accurate classification and technical assessment of waste enquiries • Ensure all waste meets current permits, legislation, and transport regulations • Oversee completion and compliance of all QC documentation for waste movements • Support workflow coordination across departments • Support the Technical Manager in their absence and attend meetings on their behalf • Mentor and train junior assessors, supporting team development What you’ll need: • A Chemistry degree, HNC or HND • Strong understanding of waste classification • Experience in the waste, chemical, or environmental sector • Leadership qualities and a proactive, adaptable approach Why join us: • Competitive salary based on your experience • Clear opportunities for career progression • Supportive team environment with ongoing training • Company pension scheme • Life assurance
