We’re working with a well-established European manufacturer to recruit an Engineering Co-ordinator / Maintenance Planner for their site in Selby. This is a key role within the maintenance team, focused on keeping things organised, controlled and running smoothly in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The Role
You’ll play a central role in supporting the maintenance function by managing planning, scheduling and system accuracy. The aim is simple – ensure planned maintenance stays on track and doesn’t get lost in day-to-day reactive work. A big part of the role will be owning and developing the CMMS, ensuring it’s used effectively across the site, with accurate data, clear schedules and strong control of spare parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the CMMS, ensuring all maintenance activity is planned, tracked and recorded accurately
- Create, assign and close work orders across planned, reactive and emergency maintenance
- Support planning and scheduling of maintenance activities with the engineering team
- Maintain accurate asset records, equipment hierarchies and maintenance plans
- Support spare parts management, including stock accuracy and ordering critical items
- Train and support engineers on CMMS usage
- Assist with the rollout of structured maintenance strategies across site
- Ensure contractor activities and service agreements are aligned with business needs
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in a similar Maintenance Planner / Engineering Co-ordinator role
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP PM, Infor, Fiix or similar)
- Good understanding of maintenance processes within a manufacturing environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using Excel and general business systems
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively across teams
- Any experience within food, process or GMP environments would be an advantage, along with a basic understanding of mechanical or electrical maintenance.
