A UK market leader in hazardous and specialist waste is seeking a Technical Assessor to join their experienced team. Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary group, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring waste is correctly assessed, routed, and handled in line with regulations—all while supporting a cleaner, greener future.
Use your chemistry qualifications, waste management knowledge, and problem-solving mindset to take on this rewarding challenge.
Duties include:- Reviewing waste enquiries and ensuring full compliance with WM3 and site-specific protocols.
- Liaising with internal and external labs for sample analysis and waste acceptance.
- Recommending disposal routes and ensuring alignment with permits and waste licenses.
- Communicating effectively across sales, operations, and transport teams.
- Resolving non-conformances and supporting smooth customer service and logistics coordination.
- HNC in Chemistry or related field (essential)
- Experience with hazardous waste (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
