We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing engineering business based in Trafford Park, Manchester. The business originally started in the rail sector and has since expanded into the water industry. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, this is a good opportunity for an Assistant QS looking to step up into a Quantity Surveyor position and take on more responsibility.

You’ll join a close-knit team made up of engineers, CAD technicians, commercial specialists, administrators and project managers, giving you good exposure across the wider business.

The Role

You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the wider commercial team, with responsibilities including:

  • Applications for payment
  • Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
  • Cost forecasting
  • Change and variations
  • Subcontract management
  • Commercial risk
  • Project cost control and reporting
