Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic FMCG Food Manufacturing business based in Harlow. We're assisting them in recruiting Production Operators / Line Technicians for their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new business who are investing heavily and rapidly growing the business. They can offer genuine career development and progression.
For this role we're seeking Manufacturing / Line Technicians, with a minimum of 2 years experience in operating and working on production / packing machinery within a similar Food or FMCG or manufacturing background, such as food or packaging manufacturing, print or similar. You’ll need to be willing to learn, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. On-going, extensive training will be given.
Hours / Shifts: Monday to Friday – 41.25 hours PW. Rotating early & late shift pattern – 06:00–14:15 / 14:00–22:15. Overtime is available. Fantastic benefits including 25 days + BH's.
Summary of core responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production line equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly.
- Conduct line changeovers and setups according to production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Record and report equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements.
- Support root cause analysis for recurring technical issues.
