Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading Food Manufacturing business in South Lanarkshire. We\’re supporting in their search for a Shift Production Supervisor to join their Operations team.

Reporting into the Manufacturing Shift Manager, This role will have the Responsibility for driving Key Performance Indicators in line with Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People. This role has responsibility for supporting the Shift Managers in developing a team willing to go the extra mile to strive for manufacturing excellence.

You will get the opportunity to undertake a fully funded training & development programme as well as internal leadership development courses too.

Shifts / Hours of work:

Days, 4on, 4off (06:00 – 18:00)

  • Shift Production Supervisor – Summary of responsibilities:
  • Lead by example encouraging appropriate behavioural standards in support of the companies values and culture
  • Engage, motivate, train, coach and develop a high performing team to meet/exceed performance targets and standards
  • Work flexibly with the business to manage labour for changes in production plans & support effective changeovers
  • Contribute to Short Interval Control meetings in order to drive hourly/daily performance
  • Raise any hazards and near misses and support where required in accident investigations
  • Review time and attendance of staff and with support from the Manufacturing Shift Lead
  • Monitor training of new starters on the production line to ensure training needs are met within required time-frame
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of team members to ensure safe, efficient and effective productivity and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) compliance
  • Communicating proactively with the team and people at all levels via Workplace, notices, huddles, briefs, shift handovers as appropriate
  • Champion a Health and Safety , Food Safety and Quality culture across the site

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

We\’re seeking an experienced Production leader / Supervisor with previous experience of working in a fast-paced and challenging FMCG environment. Ideally you will hold Level 2 Food Safety & IOSH.
