**Principal Process Engineer – Energy Transition and Oil & Gas Projects** Step into a role where your expertise will shape the future of energy production and environmental management. As a Principal Process Engineer, you will be at the forefront of pioneering Energy Transition projects, alongside traditional Oil & Gas ventures. This position offers the chance to lead diverse and dynamic teams, delivering innovative solutions across the full project lifecycle—from Feasibility and Concept to FEED and Detailed Design. Your contributions will make a tangible difference, driving forward industry-defining projects. **Key Responsibilities** Lead process engineering teams on major projects, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met. Execute feasibility studies and concept select projects, managing budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Provide technical leadership, performing design work and reviewing the work of others to ensure adherence to standards and procedures. Approve project deliverables as authorised by the Process Engineering Technical Authority. Represent Process Engineering in client, vendor, and third-party discussions. Develop project schedules, resource plans, and report progress to the project management team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate Process Engineering requirements into overall design. Support business development and marketing teams in tendering and project development. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering professional growth and development. Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, safeguarding colleagues, clients, and the environment. **Competencies and Skills** Comprehensive understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, energy industry codes, and standards. Expertise in natural gas processing, storage, and transport technologies. Proficiency in process technology selection, option evaluation, and flowsheet development. Strong skills in steady-state process simulation and optimisation. Experience in developing process deliverables (e.g., Heat and Material Balances, PFDs, P&IDs, process equipment specifications). Knowledge of technical safety and environmental processes, including HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL assessments. Ability to interface with estimating functions for project cost estimation. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project execution strategies. Ability to proactively manage technical risks and challenges. **Qualifications and Experience** Proven leadership experience in process engineering teams across major projects and studies. Demonstrated ability to deliver complex process designs on time and within budget. Strong knowledge of FEED and detailed design phases.
