Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic FMCG Manufacturer based in Harlow, to assist them in recruiting Manufacturing Technicians / Machine Operators for their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new business who are investing heavily and rapidly growing the business. They can offer genuine career development and progression.
For these roles, we're seeking experienced Manufacturing Technicians, or Machine operatives who can operate and work on production / packing machinery within a similar Food, Pharma or, packaging manufacturing. You’ll need to be willing to learn, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. On-going, extensive training will be given.
Nights (40 hours PW)
Monday to Friday - 10pm-6am
Overtime is available

Summary of core responsibilities:
Maintenance and Health and Safety:
- Complete pre-start machine set-up and adjust settings throughout shift to maintain quality parameters.
- Identify faults on line and communicate with Production and Engineering teams to ensure root cause faults are identified and rectified.
- Health & Safety is adhered to at all times
- All Near misses/issues raised
Quality Assurance:
- Drive standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within the packing area through good manufacturing practice (GMP) to ensure the both the business and customer standards are kept and audit requirements are fully met and audit ready
Communications:
- Communicate with the line team on a daily basis on line performance (KPI’s) and ensure performance information is available to the line team and discussed.
- As part of the Line team to carry out all required line tasks safely, efficiently and to the Quality standards defined.
Performance:
- Strive to meet the production targets for the shift and understand what can be done to meet these targets consistently.
- Minimise downtime due to changeovers through improved readiness for changeovers.
- Respond quickly and effectively to production plan changes to ensure that stock levels are maintained at all times.
