Machine Minder / Operator
Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with a global FMCG Packaging manufacturer to recruit a Machine Minder / Operator for their Wrexham factory. This is a fantastic business where you can develop your career through formal qualifications and training. Working in a multi-skilled team, working alongside Engineers, your role will be to ensure the smooth running and operation of automated manufacturing lines within the factory.
We\βre ideally seeking technically-minded candidates from a similar FMCG or general manufacturing background. Any sector will be considered.
Shifts:
Continental Days & Nights (2 Days / 2 Nights, 4 off) with a 10x day break.
This increases to 18x day breaks in the summer. Overtime available (X1.5 / X2)

Machine Minder / Operator β Summary of core responsibilities:
- Achieve target reliability on assigned Line(s).
- Accurate use of ICONICS to track performance.
- Adherence to SAP Production Plan.
- Completion of TPM activities on assigned Line(s).
- Complete First Line Maintenance.
- Tackle minor breakdowns and escalate when necessary.
- Manage KANBAN levels of assigned Line(s).
- Work accurately to SAP Production plan to avoid Under/Over Production.
- Actively participate in C.I. activities, PPS sessions and Tier meetings.
- 6S Audit Completion of assigned area.
- Adherence to all Site Safety Policies & Procedures.
- Reporting of accidents, unsafe conditions and behaviours.
- Documentation compliance (control plan, pack spec).
- SAP QM completion.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
We\βre seeking an experienced Production / Machine Minder β Operator from a fast paced manufacturing environment. (or similar). C&G / BTEC or equivalent qualifications preferred. SAP knowledge preferred but not essential.
