Scantec Recruitment are working with a Food Manufacturing business in Manchester, to assist in their search for a Hygiene Supervisor. Your role as Hygiene Supervisor will be to lead your team in delivering established Key Performance Indicators in line with Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People. This role has responsibility for supporting the Hygiene Manager in developing a team willing to go the extra mile to strive for manufacturing excellence.

Working Hours / Shifts:

46 hours per week

Days, 6am-6pm

Working days are: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat – There is flex available to work alternative days (more info available).

Hygiene Supervisor – Summary of key responsibilities:

  • Lead and encouraging appropriate behavioural standards in support of the companies values and culture
  • Engage, motivate, train, coach and develop a high performing team to meet/exceed performance targets and standards
  • Review time and attendance of staff and manage poor standards through the relevant process and address and report any people issues to the leadership team for support to resolve
  • Monitor training of new starters to ensure training needs are met within required time-frame
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of team members to ensure safe, efficient and effective working practices and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Champion a Health and Safety , Food Safety and Quality culture across the site
  • To audit the effectiveness of cleaning and ensure that cleaning is appropriate to achieve the prescribed standards
  • Audit & GMP compliance for own area
  • Cleaning materials require appropriate storage, handling and processing to minimise ongoing losses to budgeted standards

Key experience and skills:

We\’re seeking an experienced Hygiene team Manager / Supervisor with previous experience of working in a hygiene supervisory/management role in a fast-paced and challenging Food / FMCG environment. You\’ll need to have the ability to supervise a team and motivate them to deliver / exceed on set KPI\’s. Ideally you will hold Level 2 Food Safety & IOSH supervising safely
