We're working with a leading FMCG manufacturing business near Cwmbran, to assist in their search for a Site HSE Manager. This role offers growth and long-term career development across the site and group, where you will have exposure to lots of ongoing HSE projects.
As the HSE Manager, you’ll work with the Senior Leadership Team to foster an HSE culture and ensure the highest levels of excellent HSE management by providing expert advice throughout the sites operations to ensure the effective management of all HSE requirements and to maintain compliance with all current statutory and legislative regulations.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm (flexibility needed around core hours) as the site runs 24/7.
Summary of core responsibilities:
- Work across the site to deliver best-in-class Health, Safety and Environmental solutions
- Help to build and embed a culture to ensure the group is a safe place to work and visit
- Be responsible in planning, supporting the development of, and implementing robust HSE practices across the site.
- Set SMART health, safety and environmental objectives with the SLT for their teams
- Ensure risk assessments / impact assessments are in place and that a site HSE risk register is maintained and that this is reviewed regularly in order to manage risk
- Influence and challenge effectively to a variety of different stakeholders, to educate and deliver on the HSE agenda.
Required Skills and Experience:
We’re seeking a confident and assertive candidate who has previous Safety, Health and Environmental experience at a senior level gained within Manufacturing and experience developing a HSE culture. Food manufacturing would be an advantage.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification e.g. Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. IEMA Foundation certificate or other recognised Environmental qualification (advantageous)
