Salary: Circa £35,000 + £5,060 car allowance
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Office-based initially, with 1 day from home after probation
We’re working with a leading engineering and construction business delivering major projects across the UK, particularly within complex and highly regulated environments. They have a strong presence in the nuclear sector, are well established on long-term frameworks, and have a solid pipeline of work ahead. They’re looking to bring in a Cost Controller to support delivery on a major programme, starting in Workington before transitioning onto site at a Major Nuclear Site.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting the cost management and financial control of projects, working closely with project teams to ensure costs are tracked, reported and managed effectively. Day to day, this will include:
- Monitoring project costs and tracking performance against budgets
- Supporting cost forecasting and reporting activities
- Assisting with change control and cost variance analysis
- Working closely with project and commercial teams to provide cost insight
- Producing accurate and timely reports for stakeholders
This role offers the chance to work on a long-term, secure programme with a well-established contractor, supporting complex and high-value projects.
