About the Role
We’re looking for an Engineer to join our client\’s remediation team. You\’ll be working alongside Senior Engineers, Site Managers, and Project Managers to deliver safe, high-quality, and compliant remediation projects. You’ll be involved in deploying and maintaining specialist equipment, supervising site activities, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards in line with remediation plans and company procedures.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical know-how, a practical approach, and a genuine interest in environmental improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
Promoting a culture of shared responsibility for health and safety across the team and wider public.
Ensuring work is delivered in a socially and environmentally responsible way.
Supervising site activities and equipment, including subcontractors.
Leading the deployment of equipment to site, ensuring efficient installation and commissioning.
Maintaining accurate records of equipment installation, staff training, and handover processes.
Implementing preventative and routine maintenance checks (e.g. LOLER, PUWER) to ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation.
Monitoring facilities and resources, making recommendations for improvements where needed.
Communicating regularly with Project Managers to support smooth project delivery and minimise downtime.
Using online incident and fault reporting systems to ensure issues are logged and resolved promptly.
Identifying efficiencies in current practices and suggesting improvements.
Building strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For
Knowledge and understanding of remediation engineering techniques, with the ability to apply them effectively.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Educated to a good standard in English and Maths.
Ideally, a professional qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
Knowledge of safe systems of work.
Good IT skills and the ability to prepare professional documentation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident working with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
A flexible team player who is happy to work outdoors in varying conditions.
