Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with an FMCG Manufacturer based in Harlow, to assist them in recruiting a Manufacturing Shift Leader for their team. For this role, we\’re seeking a candidate with proven leadership experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a highly automated environment, so ideally you will have experience of working with automated manufacturing equipment. You\’ll need to have the ability to engage and motivate a team of people whilst setting clear health & safety, quality and food safety standards. Food / FMCG is preferred but not essential as on-going, extensive training will be given.
Hours / Shifts: Nights
Monday to Friday – 10pm – 6am
Overtime is available

Production Shift Manager – Summary of core responsibilities:
- Be proactive towards health and safety and ensure staff/yourself work within the safe systems of work.
- Lead & ensure H&S compliance, delivering on all H&S KPI’s (Near miss reporting, SML & BRC audit scores etc.)
- Ensure allquality and pre-start checks have been completed before production starts.
- Complete work orders, input OEE data and develop shift report for the shift handover
- Ensure hygiene/GMP standards throughout the production areas
- Ensure food safety and food quality standards are being met and complied with throughout the shift.
- Be the point of contact for production operators for troubleshooting support and escalate issuesSupport the Production Manager to manage labour plan, holidays, sickness and agency requirementsEnsure site readiness for internal and external audits
- Drive performance through short interval control and attend production reviews
- Support staff development through SOP development, training, team briefs and feedback
- Run production lines as part of holiday/absence cover
