Scantec are working in partnership with a fantastic FMCG Food Manufacturer in North Manchester. We\βre seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer (Elec Bias).
Shifts:
This is working a 4on, 4off pattern. 7-7, 2x days, 2x nights.
This company have never been busier and have undergone huge investment of late and more planned in 2025. They have a fantastic culture with a friendly, supportive and development-focused environment.
Lots of overtime is currently available on your scheduled 4 off and development for CI and Engineering courses readily available so it\βs a great time to join!
Maintenance Engineer β Brief summary of responsibilities:
- Continuous development of knowledge and familiarity with the engineering requirements of the site process systems and machinery
- Work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team
- Ensure correct Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Ensure a fast and effective response especially under breakdown conditions
- Quickly diagnose faults and take corrective action
- Assist an support mechanical engineers with their duties
- Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiency\βs and reduce waste
- Assist in the training of fellow maintenance engineers, Operator-Technicians and others where necessary
- Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved
- Ensure good working practices are adhered to throughout
- Work on various projects including installation and modifications to plant and equipment.
Required skills and experience:
Ideally you\βll be an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with the appropriate engineering quals. Experience within a fast paced FMCG Manufacturing environment is essential. 17th / 18th edition is an advantage as full development and training can be provided.
