The predicted salary is between 12.6 - 15.4 £ per hour.
Essential to ensuring the smooth operation of flexographic presses by assisting the press operator with setup, material handling and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, have good attention to detail and be eager to learn the flexographic printing process. You will be working within a fast-paced on-demand print environment.
Duties will include:
- Prepare and stage materials such as substrates, inks and printing plates
- Clean anilox rollers, ink pans and other press components
- Monitor ink quality, alert the operator to any inconsistencies
- Help with press maintenance and basic troubleshooting tasks
- Manage waste and ensure proper disposal of materials
- Keep press area clean and stocked with supplies
- Accurately complete production documentation and job records
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
You must have:
- A willingness to learn and be part of a dedicated hard-working team
- Flexibility, with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, and work well in a team
- Must be able to read and interpret documents correctly such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals
Experience preferred - but we can offer training:
- Previous experience in the flexographic or similar print industry
- Familiarity with inks and substrates would be an advantage (training can be given)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
What to expect:
- £13.50 per hour plus overtime and shift allowance
